The Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists is a registered charity. This site has been developed to give an insight into who the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists are, and details on finding an ISHAA Member Hearing Aid Audiologist in your area. ISHAA has members throughout the Republic of Ireland, which can be found here.
It was established to encourage and develop the science and practice of Hearing Aid Audiology, with a view to improving the hearing of hard of hearing and deaf persons through Hearing Aid and other assistive listening device use. The Society is a professional body and is not directly involved in commercial matters.
It is comprised of qualified members and does not represent the interests of bodies corporate or firms. It endeavours to protect and promote the interests of Hearing Aid Audiologists and to consider, watch over and take any necessary action in relation to matters affecting the interests of the hearing aid user.
read moreThe Society also has the object of establishing and maintaining high standards of practice among Hearing Aid Audiologists by the institution and administration of rules and such regulations for its members as may be deemed appropriate. It is involved in accreditation and education of Hearing Aid Audiologists in Private Practice in the Republic of Ireland. The Society is in partnership with the National University of Ireland in the Hearing Aid Audiology Diploma in University College Dublin. The Society is also involved in continuing education for its Members.
Financial Assistance
ISHAA is the body recognised by the Department of Social Protection to represent qualified Hearing Aid Audiologists in the State regarding the Treatment Benefit Scheme.

The Council and members of the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists would like to offer and extend their deepest sympathies to Charles Lewis FISHAA, his family and friends on the death of his daughter, Catherine, which occured on Thursday 17th May.
